Louisianas ehemaliger Gouverneur scherzte vor der Wahl 1983 bekanntlich: "The only way I can lose this election is if I'm caught in bed with either a dead girl or a live boy".

The 10 least popular Senators were:
    1. Susan Collins, R-Maine
    2. Mitch McConnell, R-Kentucky
    3. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa
    4. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska
    5. Bob Menendez, D-New Jersey
    6. Cory Gardner, R-Colorado
    7. Martha McSally, R-Arizona
    8. Deb Fischer, R-Nebraska
    9. Elizabeth Warren, D-Massachusetts
    10. Rand Paul, R-Kentucky

Montana is very red in presidential elections, but purple in state elections. The governor, Steve Bullock, and the other senator, Jon Tester, are Democrats. If the Democrats can find a good candidate, this will be a real horserace.

ARIZONA: Mark Kelly (D) leads Sen. Martha McSally (R), 47% to 42%

COLORADO: John Hickenlooper (D) leads Sen. Cory Gardner (R), 51% to 38%.

MAINE: Sara Gideon (D) leads Sen. Susan Collins (R), 47% to 43%

NORTH CAROLINA: Cal Cunningham (D) leads Sen. Thom Tillis (R), 46% to 41%.

    https://politicalwire.com/2020/03/05/democrats-lead-in-four-key-senate-races/

"Tommy Tuberville (@TTuberville) is running for the U.S. Senate from the Great State of Alabama. Tommy was a terrific head football coach at Auburn University. He is a REAL LEADER who will never let MAGA/KAG, or our Country, down! Tommy will protect your Second Amendment...(which is under siege), is strong on Crime and the Border, and truly LOVES our Military and our Vets. He will be a great Senator for the people of Alabama. Coach Tommy Tuberville, a winner, has my Complete and Total Endorsement. I love Alabama!" Trump wrote in a series of tweets late Tuesday night.

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI), also a friend of Trump, and one of the handful of Senators who voted against COVID-19 relief bill v2.0, sat for an interview with his hometown Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, and was also dismissive:
I'm not denying what a nasty disease COVID-19 can be, and how it's obviously devastating to somewhere between 1 and 3.4 percent of the population. But that means 97 to 99 percent will get through this and develop immunities and will be able to move beyond this. But we don't shut down our economy because tens of thousands of people die on the highways. It's a risk we accept so we can move about. We don't shut down our economies because tens of thousands of people die from the common flu...getting coronavirus is not a death sentence except for maybe no more than 3.4 percent of our population (and) I think probably far less.

An early look at the data finds that Democrats are the slightest of favorites to take back the Senate. The chance Democrats net gain at least 3 seats is about 3-in-5 (60%), while the chance they net gain at least 4 seats is about 1-in-2 (50%).
There is still a lot of uncertainty. Democrats could realistically end up anywhere from a net loss of 4 seats to a net gain of 11 seats, though a few more times than not, they'll end up in the majority.

    https://edition.cnn.com/2020/05/02/politics/senate-landscape/index.html

The coronavirus-driven economic downturn that last month pushed unemployment to its highest level since the Great Depression has been most brutal for groups that voted against Donald Trump in 2016 — a reality that may shape the political response.

A POLITICO analysis of demographic data released Friday by the Labor Department indicates that, so far, the people most likely to have lost their jobs to the Covid-19 pandemic are a very different group from those who became unemployed during the Great Recession of 2007-09 — many of whom were still struggling to regain their economic footing when they pulled the lever for Trump. (...)

Congressional Republicans are expressing unease about passing another coronavirus stimulus, and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R.-S.C.) said last week that a $600 emergency sweetener that Congress added in March to weekly unemployment benefits will be extended past July “over our dead bodies.” For now, such statements may not be politically costly even with unemployment nearing 15 percent, because the job losses haven’t engulfed — yet — an especially large proportion of Republican voters.

    https://www.politico.com/interactives/2020/unemployment-2009-2020-great-recessio n/

    EDIT

In the speech, Perkins pointedly repeats the group’s most used catchphrase before thanking fellow supporters. “Where we go one, we go all,” she said. “I stand with President Trump, I stand with Q and the team. Thank you, Anons, and thank you, patriots. Together, we can save our republic.”

At its heart, QAnon supporters believe that a secretive network of government officials, Democratic politicians, and liberal elites are running an international pedophile ring and conspiring to bring down the president because he’s close to bringing them to justice.
