    Chile steht am 16.11.2025 ähnlich wie Argntinien und Bolivien vor einem radikalen Politikwechsel - von Links nch Rechts. Wobei in Chile rechts eher rechtsaußen bedeutet.

    Die vereinigte Linke tritt ausgerechnet mit einer Kandidatin der Kommunistischen Partei an, Jeannette Jara. Sie kämpft gegen die Unbeliebtheit des amtierenden linken Präsidenten, Gabriel Boric.

    Ihr gegenüber stehen u.a. drei Kandidaten mit deutschen Wurzeln. Was im Konkreten auch bedeutet: NS-Wurzeln (es darf frei gemutmaßt werden, weswegen deren Vorfahren direkt nach 1945 ins Land übersiedelten) und enge familiäre Kontakte zum Pinochet-Regime resp. eine führende Teilhabe in der Diktatur. Es sind dies: Johannes Kaiser, NLP - José Antonio Kast, PRCh - Evelyn Matthei, ChGU. Alle drei sind nicht frei davon, Pinochet und dessen Mitstreiter gelegentlich auch vehement zu verteidigen.

    Ein fünfter Kandidat kommt aus dem Mitte-Rechts Lager und stolpert seit Jahren von Korruptionsskandal zu Korruptionsskandal: Franco Parisi, PDG. Mit Parteifinanzen und Spendengeldern nimmt er es offenbar auch nicht so genau.

    Es ist zu erwarten, dass Jara in die Stichwahl kommt - gegen wen auch immer -, es dort aber schwer haben wird, sich durchzusetzen.

    Chile hat offenbar die Wahl zwischen Pest und Cholera.

    Ein ggf. anfälliger 2. Wahlgang ist für den 14. Dezember 2025 angesetzt.
